It's super easy to put Windows on a Mac. And by that I don't mean "in conjunction with OS X". I mean "totally replacing OS X".

Previously I'd assumed you had to do a bunch of black magic with Boot Camp to make it work. Turns out not so much. (Though you do need an OS X install disk in order to install drivers into Windows for the Apple hardware).

The drive in my iMac is now one big NTFS partition running XP.

If you're not dual-booting, OSX is typically way faster/more efficient than XP/Vista. idk about 7 n7

I always thought it had to do with the way OSX prioritizes tasks; focusing CPU power and memory on the foremost window, whereas windows attempts to spread equally. So, YMMV, depending on what you're trying to do.
