Anyone here fluent in American Sign Language?

I'm in interpreter training and I think the end goal is to mix my love of computer programming with Sign Language, with the result being programs that helps others in the Deaf community. Does anyone know of any programs that are being developed to help bridge the gap between the Deaf and hearing communities?

What would the program need to achieve?

If it were as easy as that, then it would have been made already. Don't you think?
