"We don't have to advertise the fact that this shit exists to new players that may want to experience the game the way it was designed. "
The way that was phrased, it comes across as if just knowing the site exists would stop newbies who truly wanted to play SecretCF from playing SecretCF. Several people on this site disdain the other site and refuse to use it. Why would it be different for a newbie? He either wants to find everything all by himself, or he doesn't. If he does, nobody is making him actually go to any hypothetical alternative forums and making him read them.
If what you mean is, newbies shouldn't be given the option to "cheat," well, that's something else entirely. It's about protecting them from themselves, not from cheaters.
That's not a stance I agree with, but as I said, it's your site and you set the rules. I just think it's a little disingenous to claim that knowledge of a site is going to stop anyone, newb or not, from experiencing SecretCF if that is really what they want to do. The "cheaters" aren't forcing anyone to come to their forum and read their published secrets. The only people who do, are the people who want to.
