The rest of Fort is also that bad. :) Throughout history, always and forever, one thing that can be relied on, is Fort's inability to PK. (And yes, I am currently playing a Fort char, thanks for asking.)
However, most have "key" concepts that you can't break - you're not killing goodies while following Baer, for example. You're not breaking laws on purpose with Dest. Other than that, most of even rigid ones allow plenty of room for interpretation. The most open-ended is probably Rayihn AFAIK. Also, I never failed to empower a char, just keep in mind sometimes it can take
Like arial or human assassin and try to fight and lazily rank without much haste. With kot, kans, trip and throw you are bound to pk at least some of the time. I would also point out that not much could kill arial assassin when ranking unless you go crazy.

Protective shield from clerics (shaman, healer) being the leading choice, followed by all mages. (Former cannot be dispelled by mages and comes much earlier).
If you have a problem with giant-sized people, be small. Reduced gnome cannot be bashed by a giant/orc at all no matter what they do.

Total % of char's life. However, better be quick with that city activity. Unless explorer, wilderness timer goes down the tubes really fast, especially at the beginning of char's life. Losing fastcamo is very easy if you're not careful pre-20, for example.
The majority of my kills were probably gaunts, by the way. It doesn't matter one bit which familiar it is then.
Snake is powerful, no doubt, but imp hit almost just as hard. Emetic is very powerful, sure, but the vast majority of people who escaped did so via word, thus impcurse would be very very useful to me.
