Empire nowdays (kinda long):

Ok, here is my whine for today. It is nothing bad.
I just think Empire is too damn nice these days.
I think it has lost its luster.
I remember back in the old days, I could not trust anyone,
I was afraid of backstabbing. Thieves would steal
from other citizens. Hell, there was even one that was
a spy for warders. I think there was more section pride
back in those days. You were pretty much an asshole over
the cabal channel. If someone said, help I been blackjacked,
most citizens would reply with things like, you deserve to die
fool. I love playing Evil guys. Now it is like being in dawn, "where you at?" "oh let me help you!"
I guess I am guilty of doing it. Running to another
citizens aid. Basicly Empire has turned into a newbie cabal.

Here is what I would like to happen. First, to all the players
including myself: Remember we are evil. We like to kill,
we like to lie, we like to steal, we like to cheat.
We are chicken shits if odds are too great. We don't
quit, we just hide until we have three to one odds.
We don't kill ourselves foolishly over the Codex.
I know Empire has low admission standards but let's not
act like buddy buddy to everyone, leave that to
sylvan and ragers, they are sooo good at it.
Let's roleplay evil assholes. Not really in a way that
would hurt Empire, but in a way that is fun. Have more section
pride and such. Look down at non-citizens like they are
dirt.

Second, heroes and mostly council members need to start
playing more. I started my new citizen during the Christmas
break and let me tell you, it was and is annoying.
I am glad they finally axed the old Emperor. Sorry, but
Empire is about numbers, if you can't show you
get axed. I have had it happen to my section leader
before and it needed to happen (although my section
was still the strongest when I got axed but that is
a different story). Anyways, 90% of the
time there were no more than 4 citizens on at a time.
Fat chance in hell, a hero would show. If he did, you
got his ass handed to him by a sylvan - rager combo.
Section leaders need to show because it tends to draw others
if they see that, lead by example. Hate to admit it, but there are certian
people that will only play if they have good odds.
Maybe section leaders can write scrolls to let others in
their section know when they will be about. Who knows,
maybe it will lead to those fun 10 on 10 hero wars that used
to happen alot in the past. Those were the days.

Third, this is to the immortals. I really think bloodoathing
needs to be re-done. It is plain boring. When
I think of bloodoathing, I think of a group of dark figures
in robes, chanting around a circle with candles, dead animals
and lots of blood.
Make a special area within the imperial
city, a protected temple or something where these oaths
take place. Rewrite the oath. Make it
evil sounding, give me chills to read.
Also, give some sort of reward for oathing. Not sure what.
Here is an idea. Let's say someone wants to oath. Let more than
one person able to give it. I.E. all the citizens form a circle
around the oath and add their power to the oath. The more people
there, the strong the oath will be and the stronger powers
citizens there will receive. Give then a unholy blessing
that last a super long time (like 150 -200 tics per person
that is involved in the oath. Everyone there gains in the
evil act including the oathed person. Not sure what the
reward should be, maybe let it work like bless. Maybe
give some sort of protection like the old knight's golden aura.
Also, rework donations. There doesn't seem to be any point in
it now days. Maybe the section guardian can reward you for donating
a certain amount. Something simple, but something that would
bring the fun back into donating. Maybe people gain
certian titles for the amount they donated and gain
certian advantages. Maybe the ability to give a stronger
oath. Maybe powers cost less mana. Some powers are stronger.
You get the idea immortals, hell, you guys are smarter than me.

That's it, let me know what you think....
