The first character I made, I made with a specific roleplay in mind: an evil, sadistic person who would gain the confidence of others, pretending to be be algined with them and their friend, and then kill when he had gained their confidence. Yea i know there could be 1000 objections to a roleplay liket his but the point is another: I worked a bit and made friends with a good aligned priest.. eventually he invited me to join him and go travel somewhere remote which my char found convenient for his plans.. and when I tried to join him, poof, youre too evil to group with him, whereupon he told me to leave my dark path and left. So it appears that every character can easily know your alignment, even if you work to avoid it.. so doesnt this make roleplaying evil people just very simplistic? the really evil strive to be trusted by the good, so they might get close and maximize their damage upon them. This seems impossible to me now. Not to mention its a very ooc thing for him to be forced to tell me turn from your dark path because of grouping code, when I had done an excellent job of fooling him. I have the same thoughts on classes to a lesser degree. What use is it being a thief, when everyone knows youre a thief. beats me. Any thoughts?
