I'd like to have a server running as a host, so that it's accessible to people outside my local network.

Basically I have this XP Pro desktop with IIS on it, and I want to use it to host (.net) webservices (and basic websites), accessible to the wide public (read: my friends :)).

I'm behind a DSL router, so I suppose that means I need to by-pass that, to get to my server so I can get my external IP accessible.

I won't need a domain name or anything. It's just going to be, either you know my IP, or you don't.

I know bits and pieces about this sort of stuff, not the whole story, so any ideas/tips/links would be appreciated.
