The most recent 'survival time' rating I could find was 2004 and the Windows XP machines lasted 174 minutes on average. Before service pack 2, it was more like 12 minutes. <br> <br>If the default install of iis/Windows was so secure, you wouldn't get paid so much money. <br> <br>I'm not saying *nix is even the answer, opening ports when you don't have basic security training is very dangerous. That's true regardless of the OS. I don't know why you bothered to bring it up.
