The Dresden files series by Jim Butcher is good

David Eddings Belgaraiad, Mallorean and Elenium series are all fantastic.

I like Terry Brooks alot - his newer stuff is much better than the original sword of shannara series.

Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy by Tad Williams is interesting.

Cosign Lokain about Hobb, none of her stuff has dissapointed me.
Lokain 241 November 02, 2007 02:52PM

Magician and Eragon are both good. (nt)

Cointreau 278 November 02, 2007 04:52PM

Eragon was engaging, but I wouldn't call it "good". txt

Isildur 255 November 02, 2007 06:10PM

It's not surprising. The guy who wrote it is younger than most of us.

A few suggestions

Treebeard 279 November 03, 2007 10:25AM

RR Martin's work annoyed me

Randomizer 254 November 03, 2007 10:35AM

If you were to insert Martin where you typed Jordan and vice versa

Lokain 249 November 03, 2007 01:06PM

Jordan and Martin in a nutshell [Possible Spoilers]

jegec 219 November 05, 2007 02:45PM

I know Martin is supposedly 7 books, but it reads like a trilogy right now IMO

Balrahd 260 November 06, 2007 09:38AM

I could see that

jegec 275 November 06, 2007 12:18PM

Now that you mention it, that's true for me, too.
