Seems like crops are what make or break you then. Sure, you need clay more than any other resources, but if you don't make crops first then you'll never have enough crop production to keep up anyways.

As it is, I'm gonna have to wait like 20 hours before I can build the next thing I want. And even then, it'd probably be smarter to just invest that 20 hours in increasing my crop production, so I can keep up with everything else.
