Chessmaster's tower is gone, no more pawn raking. The upside is the newer area is awesome! It's well worth your time to explore it, and figure out the quest that's there ;)

Some of the items are still there, they just have new descriptions and all that. For instance the wand of orcus is now a pretty rad looking demon's claw that's been dissected and modified into an exotic weapon. There's a bunch of new items from there, like the mirrored dragonscale armors and the slimy charcoal dragonscale armors.
