My last necro went something like this:

-Spend hours perfecting reanimate and animate dead. Take 35 hours to find a group to get high enough to take Zombie Lord edge.

-Log in and get a construct. Sit in a graveyard and use corpse thrall and golems/construct to kill tainted dwarf lord. Fail the animate. Summon a war-weary storm giant and use corpse thrall to slowly kill storm giant, catch plague twice, construct auto rescues me and dies. Finally kill storm giant, fail animate.

-Realize there's two hero Villagers on and the veil is probably thick. Spend more gold and more time trying to get items to thin it. By now I could summon tainted dwarf lord again. Kill it, animate it... success!

-Use tainted dwarf lord zombie to kill war weary again and this time animate works. Planning for a third when random fortguy #1352 summons and kills them both before I could get my ass to a guild.


This exact process happened more than once. I had much better luck as Aucius (about 1.5 years ago) and I've wanted to replicate that success but each time I try I just end up deleting because of a variation of the above.

You'll have much more fun as a conjurer imo.
