Svirf cavern explorer is a nice build. They are smart, strong, fast, hearty, have inherent stoneskin and are small. Which means you have plenty of practices/trains, can ambush hard, dodge well, you don't have crap for hp, and have damage redux. Your size is also an inherent advantage because both dodge and creep have a size check within them. You should be able to hold your own in most fights, have an easy time resisting poisons, diseases, magic, noticing traps, etc. You'll be able to set broken bones, stop bleeding, accelerate the healing rate of any group you're with, and get the added bonus of home terrain for a lot of your skills in most instances. It's a very good build for exploring.
