I peruse the forums from time to time and I'm glad to see CF is still alive. I still prefer Eastern Road when it was only 5 rooms wide, but still love the game regardless even though I haven't played a real character since my berserker rager bard :)

Quick idea regarding bolstering the player count.

Since there are so many amazing stories with roles and the history of CF, etc. Why not polish the hell out of one of the stories and publish it as a short story and then reveal that it's based on an online game that anyone can play. With the popularity of books like Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, etc. people are reading more then ever which to me correlates to a game like CF really expanding its numbers. Hell, if it's good enough, they could even turn it into a book. With all of the players, stories, etc. throughout the life of CF, this could even turn into a series of books with some centered around evil characters and others around good characters. I think it could definitely help the playerbase, give CF some notoriety, and possibly even later on provide something profitable to the owners of CF who have definitely put in a lot of time on the game.

Anyways, just a thought. Hope you guys are doing well; expecting my first kid in a couple of weeks
