You'll be able to camo in just about any terrain and you get a natural boost to your herbs strength, and explorer will make most terrains your home terrain so you can get them everywhere. You'll be resistant to diseases and poisons and can set broken bones and stop bleeding. Pursuit will fire in most terrains, even if at a reduced rate, but it could seal some kills. You have group camp so you can boost the regeneration of your group. You'll be so helpful to the village as a whole, that it'll almost be like having a healer inside.

I'd suggest a fast race like Felar, Arial or Woodie so you can also tank like mad and creep has size based factors so you'll fail less than a giant. Woodie may be easier to get your mage kill, if that's a problem, earlier because they can see through most forms of concealment in the wilderness. This isn't a big PK build but you could throw in exotic weapon lagging skills to help add to pursuit, when you're high enough level.

Any village path will work just fine but being a defender would boost your overall help to the village.
