that it'd be misleading to focus on the superficial similarities/differences to fixtures from that era IMO.

Some mechanics are now entirely different. I say start playing the game with a fresh approach
and be pleasantly surprised (or not) at what you see. Don't treat it as an extension of things past.

Scion is no more. Outlander is the only purely chaotic cabal in the game now.
