1) My brother played MUDs before I ever did.
2) My brother played FL before CF. He was pretty good at it. He became an IMM.
3) My brother (shockingly) burned his bridges there, and lost his IMM.
4) My brother decided to take his revenge by owning newbie breads. He rolled Ivlizik. People bitched. My brother raged.
5) My brother left FL.
6) I start playing FL, because, ya know, it looked kinda cool.
7) I get banned because Rathe thinks I am my brother.
7a) I let my brother use my forum login to post a bunch of shady shit of IMM cheating etc. I get the forums shut down (KRUL THE TINKLE KING FTW).
8) I get an apology and start playing again.
9) I notice horrible RP and cheating rampant in the game. Certain players are obviously being treated differently (re: better) due to their relationships with Immortals. I decide to do something about it. I post several logs showing said horrible RP (Elf Healer hanging out with a Vampire and having 9 "children" of different races, etc).
10) Forums get shut down AGAIN. I get banned after an IMP tells me I won't get banned (and I posted that log too). I get accused of being my brother AGAIN.
11) My bro says "Hey, I'm playing this other game, but fuck, let's perma". IT IS STILL THE ONLY TIME ME AND MY BRO HAVE EVER PERMA'D.
12) We perma, destroy Desolation and several other "area explores". We get sick sets.
13) I lose link and a player logs off his current character (Duergar Cleric, who had attacked me before I teleported) and logs on his other character (Slith Thief) to wait at my pit when I reconnect. I reconnect, die to trip/tail lag, and get full-looted.
14) I realize this shit won't ever change, so I notice there is a set of logs that show a player multi-charring and the IMMs/players seemingly not giving a shit about it. I bring this to everyone's attention, am told the player was GIVEN PERMISSION TO MULTI-CHAR BECAUSE "He's a good player and Pker and he deserves it". The hypocricy is incredible. The forum gets shut down AGAIN, for the THIRD TIME.
15) I say "FUCK FL, I'm playing CF" where my brother has now had several heroes and several of my HS classmates are playing. I start playing CF. I have fun.
16) After about a year, I decide to check on FL. I immediately regret. Apparently, Behrens, their Head Coder, claims he's unable to do any coding unless he is paid for it. I notice several posts from players offering 5-100$ to get him to code. I post on the forums, expressing that I am beyond shocked that a Head Coder of a MUD is exhorting the playerbase. The forum gets shut down FOR A FOURTH TIME.
FWIW, My bro got banned here too, but no one on CF ever accused me of being him (which FL IMMs did repeatedly, because they are FUCKING STUPID).
