It sucks Umiron the immortal deleted, but you could also see it as a gain of a new mortal player. One who I bet would add much to the game, as many great players do.

It sucks we lost Umi the coder, but then again who knows what will happen. Maybe Zulg will come back, which I think everyone would agree to be sublime. Maybe Nep will take the helm, which would also be great because the guy know code VERY well(iirc anyway haha). It's nice when there are people around who know how to fix things that break, especially when people really really like those things. Maybe someone completely new who's a wiz at coding will come along and save the day. All I know is the game is not dead, and rather far from it.

I think it sucks the edge points from observe and explore are gone. It was nice getting rewarded for doing something I had fun with. But there are players who LIKE the change because it gives more balance. I can't argue with that. All I can say is I don't think those edge points made THAT much of a difference, and gave the game a little more ability to customize one's char which I think gives more fun. But at least some people like it so boo hoo frosty get over it. We still get experience for the observation and exploration, and still get movement points for exploration. Which is always nice. And who knows, maybe they'll manage to set up a system like the one that everyone seems to advise/agree on, it being where everyone gets the same amount of edge points distributed at different level tiers. I think it would work well, it sounds balanced to me.

Yeah lots of people are bummed that they took things away from priests, I think in a few ways it sucks. But ever since they changed healers and made the empowerment priest classes, WHICH WAS AGES(literally) AGO, how many people have said they would love to play OR EVEN RETURN TO THE GAME to play the priest classes IF they didn't require empowerment? I'll answer that question for you, and it's lots. LOTS. So if I'm not mistaken, that's a pretty damn good thing.

Even after all the changes the opportunity for some stellar role playing, wickedly cool and unique PvE, and heart bursting surges of PK adrenaline is very much present in the game. Nobody knows what will happen for sure, but I know the game is a long way from hitting 0hp.
