For Lowbies it's the quests - Won't go into detail but they're fantastic.

For mid range, it's a great tool for certain classes. Example would be necro, thief, water shifters - it's located in a great place to do a lot of fun stuff for many different paths.

For hero, it's the jumping off point for a TON of high end quest-ery , possibly a hot spot for finding Imperials or goodies depending on which one you are, outlanders have some options. And as far as towns go, Hamsah is a damned Fortress. You can shot people with ballista bolts, force the gates to be opened or closed, the spyglass gives you good access to the areas around you. Quick access to water to escape flyto-peck if you need, OP guards that strip wanted people. It's the most detailed city, colorful, and most defensive/offensive.
