Either I am dumb and not getting it or its not there, but how to I assign the first wildcard(%1) to a variable? Also how am I setting that variable to a target (eg. %1 = kobold)

I want to be able to set an alias like:

I send: cst
The output is: c 'sleep' targ where targ = kobold

I do not know how to declare and set the targ part

I do not know if my alias will send the text of c'sleep' targ or if it will send c 'sleep' targ.value()


I know a VERY basic amount of coding in a few languages so it is probably over my head at the moment.
