Against mobs champions are god mode, especially in a group.

But they suffer the same problem as all paladins, lack of lag. You can get some lag from bat but it’s going to be less reliable than trip (or even shield bash on enlarged storm).

Rally is a lot like monk intensify, but the key difference is that monks don’t need to hold a weapon. If you can’t outclass it just walk away in the lag of them calling it.

As pointed out many times the real challenge is the eagle staff(which is very heavy for an elf) and player skill. Not much to be done about skill but do something with the ability to drop physical maldicts or weapon break and you at least bypass the staff.

Bat is good but it’s nowhere near sleep+triggers or throw+trance. Those are actually unbalanced things even mediocre players can get a lot of mileage out of. There has been a decade of not impressive champions to show how not rediculous they are.
