I have shared this before but everyone still generally uses gaunt wrong.

Way most people use gaunt. Go to shadow grove or sands of sorrow and gaunt.

This doesn’t work great because most people can either beat the gaunt or will stay where you can’t gaunt them if they know they can’t. Lots of people can handle a gaunt. And timing getting into position can cause you to miss opportunities either because you are sitting in those places instead of hunting or you need to get there.

Better way. Launch your gaunt from anywhere. Have a demon. Immediately tesserect to the person you gaunted. Now they are fighting gaunt plus demon/elemental and you(dispel magic is good here). Great thing is that the gaunt is tanking, if they flee the gaunt will still chase and dump and there are now two agro things making chaos. Strongly recommend having fly up because the gaunt will hit you between chasing after it’s targer and will cheap shot.

I got plenty of kills without even needing to burn preps with this tactic. People can succumb to nuke the gaunt but you are dropping a whole pile of chaos on someone’s head and they tend not to react to the situation fast enough to survive.
