I was Lauriel, had 300+ hours on her.

Believe me, almost all your songs will land regardless of sleep or not as long as you have the right instrument for the repertoir you are using. I was Epic preferred, yet got better results landing songs in a different repertoire because I didn't have a good epic instrument at the time, but rather had a good one for Romantic. Here is how it plays out:

Level 2 travelers march
Level 4 charismatic prelude
Level 7 adagio
Level 9 piercing dissonance - Damage song
Level 10 chant of resilience
Level 11 battaglia - Does negative affects if sung in battle or to open battle - Not heard while slept
Level 14 canticle of the gods
Level 15 elven adagio
Level 16 lullaby
Level 17 languid carol - Can hear while slept
Level 18 anthem of resistance
Level 19 riddle of revelation - Can hear while slept
Level 19 cacophonous clamor - Can hear while slept
Level 20 reveille
Level 21 pastoral of the mind - Will regen about 40-60 mana each time you sing it for your groupmates.
Level 22 tranquil serenade - Able to stop mobs of your lvl or lower in one attempt if you have it perfected and with the right instrument. but numerous times you may have to sing it if they are a higher level then you and you dont have the right instrument in hand.
Level 26 requiem
Level 27 elegy of tears - Can hear while slept
Level 28 bagatelle of bravado - I had it boost my HP by up to 162.
Level 29 laborious lament - Can hear while slept
Level 32 vibrato - Dragons are unaffected by this one. But it is great in PK for guaranteed damage.
Level 33 nocturne of fright
Level 34 apocalyptic overture - The strongest damaging song in your repertoire. Can do UNSPEAK's on the 2 of 5 attempts. if you sing epic as your preferred..
Level 38 fantasia of illusion - Can hear while slept
Level 40 symphonic echoes - Can hear while slept
Level 42 dirge of solitude - Can hear while slept
Level 45 grand nocturne - Can hear while slept, and will start the battle, but they will be hitting the fiend not you.

The best thing for a bard is to be tipsy at all times, find your liquor and figure out how many drinks it takes to get drunk, then drink one less every time you are sober. That way your tipsy will last the longest before having to drink again. I managed to live off of liquor for about 3 hours in a no magic room no way out, and with no food nor water, just liquor. Bards are the shit imho.

The first edge you should get it the one that allows you to tune in a third of the time. Proficient vocalist or something. It will help you perfect tune much quicker because you can tune before singing all your protection songs.

Okay, blah blah blah, if you want me to keep rambling just ask more questions.
