I've never played a bard before and have a few questions.

1. If your prefered rep is Tragic.. and that is the rep you are currently using... if singing a comedy song would it still be best to have a instrument that is better for comedy or is it best to stay with a Tragic instrument seeing as thats the rep you are using?

2. Can you just compare 2 instruments to find out which is the best to sing with (to make the song more powerful) or is there more to it than that? At the moment I just compare every instrument I get and use the one with that says it is better for my preferred rep.

An inlaid rosewood cittern and a drum thing seem equally suited for Comedic performance.
An inlaid rosewood cittern and a drum thing seem equally suited for Epic performance.
An inlaid rosewood cittern looks superior to a drum thing for Romantic performance.
An inlaid rosewood cittern looks inferior to a drum thing for Tragic performance.

So if my preferred rep is Tragic I would use the cittern and then when I get another instrument I would compare that to the cittern and again use the best for Tragic.


3. Do people actually switch between reps or for the most part do you not bother seeing as you can only do it at guilds.
