The assertion is that though the character is a duergar rager warrior, he talks and acts like your common pretentious drow, full of large words meant to convey an appreciation for a finer taste in culture and intellect.

At least, that was my experience in interactions with the character when he wasn't repeating the same thing/ignoring.
