Weight, relative size and skill are all DEFINETLY factors on hitting. It's tested, proven and in the helpfile. But I could have sworn heavier people also lag lighter people for longer as well - loading up on weight has always helped me be lagged less by bashers.

I think the best example of this is comparing, say, a dwarf who bashes a lot. One of the Greetings dwarves or duergars we've had.

To Taqutin. Who was a 500lbs bashing powerhouse. His bashes regularly reached 2+ rounds of lag and people were convinced he had the bash legacy even though he didn't.

I could definetly believe it but experience says something else affects the lag duration.
