Don't take jibber too seriously...I've never beat my dogs..And they're really generally well behaved mutts..

Though I'd never actually beat my dogs I wouldn't consider a little belt whipping as abuse on my big dog- to put things in perspective, you can smack him pretty much as hard as you want on the side of his back with your hand when you're playing with him and the only effect it will have is to get him to start wagging his nub-for-tail real fast and your hand will be hurting real bad. That, and you'll have a 120lb rottweiller/doberman mix jumping up licking the crap out of your face. He also loves it if you play drums on his back- with drumsticks. for real (I feel bad doing it then he gets pissed when I stop haha). A little smack with a belt on the dog's ass would really be no big deal you just gotta trust me ;).
