As I had two Outlander leaders, here we go
- Insects are not called. They are cast in case of mage and fighter classes and communed in case of priests
- You can cast them in cities but
a) There is a good failure chance on them (they are basically auto-land when outdoors-wilderness)
b) The period of time before you can cast them again is somewhere around 12 hours (you can call them once an hour when ourdoors-wilderness)
- As they are not power, I am pretty sure you can cast them without Fetish (not 100% positive here, it might be changed since the last time I was leader)
- They disperse pretty fast in case you are ganged (if three people are attacking you, they will disperse in 5-6 battle rounds, in case it is 3+, they disperse immediately)
- Anti-gang code works for beast call (basically beast is counted as PC)
Now about your concerns
- There are no insects in towns? Come on :) Summer is coming, time to buy some anti-mosquito stuff!
- To die to insects in town you must do something retarded, to be honest. Like sticking to the fight where you should not be at the first place.
- Provost special guards are just f***ing retarded comparing to insects. They deal three times as much damage as current Provost (who is warrior FYI)
- There is no such thing as "fairness" in life :)
