I ranked an invoker to 42, had 6 shields, aura, and shield (couldn't get to my barrier wand yet) and was very disappointed.

Because of the complete lack of defenses (tried with maces, daggers, exotics, touches and just couldn't parry a thing) and lack of any healing, even though i had pretty significant dam reduction I still couldn't effectively explore anywhere (and no, i wasn't trying for hero areas at 42).

Also, the majority of the people i seemed to fight were ragers who A) seemed to all have some method to silence me and B) even though i tried a multitude of spells, i was getting through spellbane maybe 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 times.

Anyways, the character wasn't completely worthless and with the right group could be nasty, it just seems like for that much practicing you should get something that's better than sub par when solo.

Anybody had better luck than me?
