In the case of Battle, there (sometimes) seems to be a different set of douchey players. The uber-conservative, highly knowledgeable players do tend to avoid Battle because of the handicaps. That said, there have been a number of times in the last few years where the leadership of Battle has gone to someone who is willing to induct their buddies and enforce no standards, leading to essentially the behavior you outlined already. Currently though, the Battle crop seems pretty classy.

When there are sometimes as few as 25 people on during “peak” (system) time though, you have to expect fewer douche bags. Luckily, as cool people fall away from CF, so do some of their counter-parts.
