While Ahtieli is a powerful ally, in Gzurweeg's case, that alliance will likely only exist so long as Ahtieli gets to be the boss. While it's tactically a good thing to have Ahtieli on your side, one of the principal elements in most Imperials RP is greed and ambition. I suppose each high ranking Imperial will need to weigh whether they would rather bow down to Ahtieli and have the Lich in their side, or take a stab at being king themselves. Both are legitimate Empire RP.
