It's a moderately expensive edge and I found on two of my transmuters that it was not worth it. My understanding is that it only affects pugil and lash. Having stronger/more reliable pugil is nice, but there are so many edges that take priority over it.

In other words, if you have all the other edges you want, take it, but I would not prioritize it.
