Magic potions and pills fail more when thick
Spells will fail more I believe even mastered.
Damage might be altered slightly for spells durning thin/thick
Spellbane will be easily passed through when the veil is thin.
Most magical acts are less of a hinderence when the veil is thin
There might be quite a few more variables to it but I can't think of any more as of now. It's bed time.
