Goodies can be tougher...

Except they are handicapped with role restrictions. (alignment)

A decked out maran conjurer with a lesser-archangel, and ABS on a stick is quite deadly. Add to that tesseract, clairaudience, clairvoyance, and maran powers....makes for a pretty tough foe.

Try playing a human goodie, using only angels. Play agressively, and you will find your range outclassed. At hero things get tougher, but 35-44 you will own.

evil vs good conjurers

There is no easy answer on this question.

shapa March 09, 2010 07:38AM

Detect hidden is that important for a goodie?

Cyrleinad March 09, 2010 08:08AM

Maran aren't allowed to conjure smoke mephits, which are pretty shitty anyway.~ (n/t)

Blackbird March 09, 2010 08:11AM

Seriously? Bet that goes for nightgaunts too? (n/t)

Cyrleinad March 09, 2010 08:43AM

Nightgaunts, smoke mephits and demon use all depend on your role.

Scrimbul March 09, 2010 08:47AM

Angels can be bad ass.

briartangle March 08, 2010 09:49AM

I had some luck without edges on a CE conjurer

you really can get away with just shield/protection on a lot of people (n/t)

Quas March 09, 2010 01:52PM

In my mind, shield and stone skin are very much the same thing.

From what I know of good conjurers txt

starbright March 08, 2010 08:23AM

It depends on the ethos. Chaotic ethos can make an inexperienced player cry if they don't get easy a/b/s and don't hoard non-sleeks, regardless of alignment. Even without these though, they will die a ton but kill lots more than an orderly ethos. (n/t)

i'm not convinced. txt

My favortie kill i ever had with a demon, which kinda shows how easy it can be....

used_to_play March 08, 2010 08:08PM

I never said no one would die to the devil. I said demons will get more kills.

He was making the correct point that a shaman has more kill sealing power on a blinded/damned target than a conjurer with a nightgaunt.

Scrimbul March 09, 2010 11:14AM

I think a gaunt will attack anything that is cast directly on them.....

used_to_play March 09, 2010 11:30PM

It's called a crappy mercenary that can survive the gaunt for 1 round then the gaunt sits there with it's thumb up it's ass till daytime. (n/t)

Scrimbul March 09, 2010 08:52AM

No. (n/t)

shapa March 09, 2010 09:15AM

The above is correct, but you yourself already proved that gaunts are ridiculously easy to avoid very quickly if you can't kill them yourself outright.

Gaunts come to the underdark nt

daurwyn(VIP) March 13, 2010 12:28PM

You can be nightgaunted from Lower Cragstone, but I'm not sure about any of the cursed parts of the underdark.~

Isildur(VIP) March 09, 2010 05:00AM

Yeah. I'd suggest you try to find someone in that timeframe without clairaudience/clairvoyance.

For me it depended on the target (chaotic)

daurwyn(VIP) March 13, 2010 12:36PM

I wonder why none mentioned tesseract. Its OP. (n/t)
