you don't need the quest ring, just the rings in general are +10 hp. there are +20 rings around, too.

at rank 30 it gets fun, but you can do alright with a shifter with crap gear, then worry about it later. I've seen level 47 shifters with fine suits from the academy. powerranking mofos.
