Dagger skills fail about 3/4 of the time (sometimes you'll get a lucky spurt and land five or six in a row, and sometimes you get unlucky and miss four or five in a row), which all result in you getting hit. Some people will say the bleeding effects are nice, but they are short lasting bleeding durations.
An explore warrior, in my mind, has to include spear/staff. Impale bleeding lasts about 10-14 hours, which will prevent most mobs from regenerating health points while you're also trying to recover hit points.
If you're lucky enough to get a titanium spear and a pair of black hammer pendants, you can manage quite a lot on your own.
Whispers of the great seige seems like a necessary legacy for an explore-specific warrior.
If you can deal with the blunt vulnerability, I would recommend a Svirf warrior: resist poison, disease, magic, perma detect_invis and infravision, inherent stone skin, high enough wisdom for resistant sight, perfected lore.
Specializations: Spear+staff, sword
Legacies: Whispers of the great seige, autumn harvest
