PK-wise:
Elf invoker pro = less time mastering or more paths. If you can stomach longer mastering time I'd pick a gnome. Or an arial for perma-fly and leet arial_only gear.
Stealth...I dunno, based on my invoker experience (not very big) I do not think it is very useful.

RP-wise it is up to you to decide.
