Dash in particular makes it super cool.

If you're at the Fortress, type dash s look 1. and you can see if its a camouflaged npc or a camouflaged ranger you're looking at.

Or if you're expecting an assassin who is stalking you, walk into a different area and sit at the entrance spamming bash 1. - he can either walk in and eat the bash or sit outside and get no stalks.

Also very cool if you're trying to find hidden npcs. Pretty sure that at one point you could see duo'd transmuters with it, though you couldn't bring them out to fight. Don't know if thats changed in the last few years.
