Nep said it was true in practice

because muters get a save v paralysis instead of save v spell check on some spells. So it is true only because most ragers do not have as much paralysis gear as the do spell gear. They don't have a boost like everyone thought though, just a different check.

Spellbane and transmuters.

alansmithee November 11, 2011 07:29AM

so I did a little searching on officials and look what I found

Quas November 11, 2011 08:39AM

Holy shit that's hilarious. Thanks for that. (n/t)

bell November 11, 2011 11:27AM

Didn't funnyone recently complain on Dio's about invokers being OP? (n/t)

starbright November 11, 2011 09:52AM

only because he didn't have spellbane, and just sat there and let them blast him (n/t)

Quas November 11, 2011 10:15AM

Haha. Didn't realize he'd even been around that long.

randomthinker November 11, 2011 09:15AM

Lol, classic. (n/t)

TripHitNdip November 11, 2011 08:55AM

As I thought, spellbane is the same for muters as it is for everyone else. See Daev on officials. (n/t)

alansmithee November 11, 2011 07:39AM

I distinctly recall a code change where they altered spellbane to be less effective on transmuters.

vortexmagus November 11, 2011 08:02AM

This is true

daurwyn(VIP) November 11, 2011 11:09PM

Except it's not true. Stop spreading misinformation. (n/t)

alansmithee November 12, 2011 06:18AM

...and healers weren't affected by dam rol.... (n/t)

Graham November 12, 2011 12:56PM

Nep said it was true in practice

joe November 12, 2011 08:24AM

Right, transmuters do NOT get a boost. They have spells that work on para and people don't save for para. But spellbane works the same, gear for it and it works better. (n/t)

alansmithee November 12, 2011 08:28AM

Fact is

daurwyn(VIP) November 12, 2011 01:13PM

What is false is that transmuter spells receive a bonus against spellbane, which is the statement that started all this. That is simply untrue.

alansmithee November 12, 2011 01:33PM

It was, however, changed

daurwyn(VIP) November 13, 2011 06:51AM

Nope. Stop disseminating misinfo. Muters receive no bonus, spellbane works the same against them as all other casters. Code is no different. (n/t)

alansmithee November 13, 2011 07:18AM

Graatch, I'm just going to leave this here

daurwyn(VIP) November 14, 2011 06:48AM

It doesn't matter what was said in the past, the question and statement now was, "transmuters get a bonus against spellsave" and that is simply untrue. Period.

alansmithee November 14, 2011 06:59AM

Does this mean daurwyn needs to ban HIMSELF for a few days? (n/t)

satchmo November 13, 2011 02:02PM

How many other classes have spells that work off svs v paralysis Graatch?

Sam November 12, 2011 02:18PM

It's familiar to me too.

randomthinker November 11, 2011 08:04AM

And they don't. You're welcome. :) (n/t)

alansmithee November 11, 2011 10:59AM

It's possible

daurwyn(VIP) November 11, 2011 11:10PM

No, they didn't lose all the forum announcements and such, so it would be there. And Daev has already answered this. Stop spreading misinfo pal. (n/t)

alansmithee November 12, 2011 06:19AM

I think you're just interpreting things differently nt

daurwyn(VIP) November 12, 2011 01:14PM

No, you are, and I'm not sure why. Transmuters do not get any bonus against spellbane, they cast the same as all other mages. Why are you making this difficult? (n/t)

alansmithee November 12, 2011 01:34PM

Duh...

daurwyn(VIP) November 13, 2011 05:36AM

There is nothing to interpret, it's fact. Spellbane works the same for everyone. It checks your saves against the spell and either it banes or not. Doesn't matter who is casting it. Stop spreading misinfo. (n/t)

alansmithee November 13, 2011 07:19AM

Graham November 13, 2011 08:10AM

At least someone understands

daurwyn(VIP) November 14, 2011 06:49AM

Graatch, you do realize Nepenthe has been wrong before right?

Sam November 12, 2011 11:41AM

Yes, Nep has been wrong before.

DurNominator(VIP) November 12, 2011 11:52AM

You didn't address the main point of his argument; Sam has never been wrong. (n/t)
