Addendum: Yes, I know that gnome sucks balls statwise for warriors

November 23, 2011 02:57PM
I am very aware of that. It's just that the role idea that I have only lends itself to a gnome. Not even to a svirf, who is a million times better (stats, stone skin, even detect invis).

What I really wanted to know is whether anyone has any semi-recent experience with STSF on a gnome. Apparently not many are that masochistic, i.e. zero Dio readers. :)

STSF worth it for a gnome now? Anyone know?

Tadam November 22, 2011 07:35PM

Jagaub had a fairly tough gnome nexun warrior with it. (n/t)

Addendum: Yes, I know that gnome sucks balls statwise for warriors

Tadam November 23, 2011 02:57PM

I used am RNG to roll a character a few months back. gnome/polearm *cringe* (n/t)

Matrik November 24, 2011 06:28AM

Played this. It was cool because it was my first character and chargeset was OP.

Coumidin November 24, 2011 11:44AM

Still kills me that anyone died to Stevers the character. (n/t)

RobDarken November 24, 2011 11:44AM

Guilty! My defense is that he ganged me down 3 on 1.

wrathpuppet November 24, 2011 12:41PM

i remember a gnome warrior in the spire who did really good

thomas November 23, 2011 12:57PM

He didn't have Striking. He had Autumn and Hour Past Midnight, which is probably as good as it gets for a gnome, melee wise.~

ibuki November 24, 2011 02:04AM

Iirc he also was decked out in top notch gear/weapons and was tatted... Indigo triangle perhaps? (n/t)

monstermash November 25, 2011 02:40AM

if you are good enough to do a gnome warrior without it then it would be fine

Quas November 23, 2011 04:14AM

I know well played arials that have had it and loved it. Straight loved. It works fine on 23 int. (n/t)

Gaplemo November 22, 2011 08:15PM

Just don't be a gnome warrior. They are literally the worst warrior race.~

Blackbird November 22, 2011 08:04PM

And yet there have been more than half-elf and wood-elf warriors!

Coumidin November 22, 2011 08:32PM

This is the oddity of half-elves.

DurNominator(VIP) November 22, 2011 09:08PM

I actually rolled up a half-elf AP in like 2007.

Sam November 23, 2011 11:37AM

There was a period where someone made half elf ap's all named something like 'Monsmotha' or some such. Like...every year or so. Lowbie killer.

satchmo November 24, 2011 05:02PM

Wood elves kind of boggle me too.

Coumidin November 22, 2011 09:49PM

Practically no advantages over arial. 1 extra wis isn't a big deal. Only major advantage imo is the gear slots and that's generally not worth iron vuln. (n/t)

randomthinker November 23, 2011 08:55AM

Actually..

Coumidin November 23, 2011 01:14PM

I've played a wood-elf warrior

daurwyn(VIP) November 23, 2011 08:51AM

You must first befriend the K'sra to make a successful woodie warrior. (n/t)

Frosty November 23, 2011 04:22AM

I talked to someone while they played a wood-elf warrior

The Baron November 23, 2011 04:12AM

its too close to arial and the one situation it would be the best choice (tribunal) you can't go because of ethos restriction (n/t)

Quas November 23, 2011 04:15AM

I found no iron gear to be unduly restrictive while not getting anything great in return (n/t)

Noone of significance November 22, 2011 09:31PM

You have better options on anything that has less that 24 int. Whatever wisdom does is unnoticable. It's probably something like duration on your observations.~
