I know you're not supposed to gear for the AC alone, but still, I have to wonder if there is some number or mark that you need to get to for it to kick in? Also, does it work with the actual armor class of the gear (you know, the whole versus bash, pierce, slash thing), or is it only based on whether the gear specifically has -AC to it? Example:

Some help would be much appreciated. Thinking of making a specific warrior in the near future.
