The amount of weaponry in the mace/flail class at 25 lbs + is way big enough to warrant a decent trapping build on a storm giant. Yeah the real nasty 50 lbs stuff is more out of reach, but at 35 lbs you're still getting a decent damage increase. Tack on the fact that a lot of maces/whips have a vuln you can exploit too at the high weight margins. I can think of fire/crush/lightning off the top of my head.
