I have seen a few that will always loot at least one item, just part of their philosophy. I think that's just fine. Full looters/griefers bother me. I pretty much only full loot if you repeatedly attack and die to my ranking group.

Plus, if it's a good item, even if I have no use for it I might snag it for trade. This is especially true if I have a good working relationship with a thief.
