The guy was trying to get me to join the Hamsah guild, which had two rings or bracers or something I could buy. Galadon had something similar, but only 1 at the time. I think now (rather, last I played a thief) they have 2. Something like that.

I'd imagine say the poisoner guild having some slightly better poisons for sale if they have good donations or something.

On that note, have you ever noticed the kinda neat stuff in some guilds? Assassin guild has some nice boots that add a marginal amount of damage to kicks and a pretty nice buckler that falls in the category of "light armor." Decent shields that qualify as light armor are pretty hard to find at low levels.
