Are there any players who seriously know the thief class very well?

shaapa January 13, 2013 01:58PM

Personally, I really loved pickpocket path

Baroness January 15, 2013 04:33AM

This. Having done a few, I had the most fun with pickpocket. NT

There's some kind of bonus to path skills for learning the last skill in each path. I'm not sure how well known this is, and a lot of people's impressions of how well things work might vary just because they had that bonus or didn't.~

ibuki January 14, 2013 09:56AM

different people are pretty well versed in certain of the paths. nt

Isildur(VIP) January 13, 2013 02:43PM

Poison path.

shaapa January 13, 2013 03:14PM

Don't overlook the effects of fear and neurological poison, too

Baroness January 14, 2013 04:15AM

mind control is my least favorite in the skill tree for pc fighting. nt

The Forsaken(VIP) January 14, 2013 06:30AM

I think every time I made it mind control, I could never find an instance to use it

Baroness January 15, 2013 04:22AM

seems like it'd be worth it for the "forget" effect, even if you never practiced suggest. nt

Isildur(VIP) January 15, 2013 07:20AM

I agree with you there but it still has a TON of use, especially on mobs. (n/t)

I thought I read something recently that said hypnotize was tweaked upwards. No? (n/t)

Baroness January 14, 2013 04:06AM

Locksmith path.

shaapa January 13, 2013 02:49PM

No, advanced lockpick is not worth giving up an entire thief tree for.

vortexmagus January 15, 2013 09:55AM

Advanced lockpick is a must for any thief, as is gentlewalk. IMO (n/t)

Frosty January 13, 2013 02:52PM

gentlewalk i can see. never had much use for adv. lockpick, myself. must be missing something. nt

Isildur(VIP) January 13, 2013 03:00PM

There's some large sums of gold and powerful items you can get with gentlewalk and adv. picklock. (n/t)

Frosty January 13, 2013 08:49PM

defiance is the only one i know about, and that alone isn't enough to make me want the skill. maybe some day i'll figure out the others. nt

Isildur(VIP) January 14, 2013 03:19AM

while on the topic of gentlewalk though...txt

Isildur(VIP) January 14, 2013 04:57AM

Skill percentage

Mort January 14, 2013 05:09AM

That tweak didn't change much. You can still knife;flee;gentlewalk;re-enter room;knife fairly reliably. (n/t)

Frosty January 14, 2013 06:28AM

Hmm. That's a bummer. nt

Isildur(VIP) January 14, 2013 06:20AM

It's only a must-have under some very specific circumstances

wrathpuppet January 14, 2013 03:56AM

That's the kind of answer i really want to hear.

shaapa January 13, 2013 03:03PM

There are several good things about advanced lockpicking.

Quixotic January 13, 2013 03:23PM

i got sebeok stuffed in my closed, what do you want to know? nt

The Forsaken(VIP) January 13, 2013 02:40PM
