Honestly, if you're someone with great prep knowledge...

...and the time to invest in such a project, naturally- I would try a storm giant sword/h2h with outcry of steel for basically ranger-style movement (especially for prep gathering). Natural water breathing, storm giant vuln/resist profile, and quick prep-stacking. Second legacy is gravy and focused on the playstyle, largely, but I would roll with Enigma for maximum prep utilization.

Or you could just make a storm shieldspec pally and spend two to five minutes on prep.

Sidenote: How is the new empowerment option? The whole CREED thing... anyone embrace this yet, perhaps with arms wide open?

If you're going whispers I've always thought goodie dwarf with crusader mark would be by far the best to use it with.

vortexmagus April 14, 2013 09:24PM

What is critical on goodie? Why not neutral? (n/t)

ekvilibr April 15, 2013 01:05AM

How would a neutral dwarf get the mark?

vortexmagus April 15, 2013 02:01AM

Kinship request.

zannon April 15, 2013 03:52AM

wtf you can use coin now? really? when did that change come in? (n/t)

vortexmagus April 15, 2013 04:09AM

Has always been there.

zannon April 15, 2013 04:13AM

Dammit. I wish I had known this with Ghrim. Would have given me a reason to keep gold on me.

Sam April 15, 2013 07:35AM

My best was a fire giant Imperial with the nosidarm polearm and landslide.

Demtok April 14, 2013 05:31PM

Giant Sword Cry/Whispers, I'd guess

Tolnum April 14, 2013 04:48PM

Defensive spec with fluid and whispers

Quas April 14, 2013 03:44PM

Duergar sword/whip whispers/soul. nt

Flipside Oreo April 14, 2013 12:31PM

I like this! Limited RP restrictions. One problem I see is underwater (n/t)

Noone of significance April 14, 2013 12:39PM

Duergar are not hydrophobic any more (n/t)

The Faithful of Nazmorghul April 14, 2013 10:17AM

How does Enigma help you maximize preps?

TJHuron April 14, 2013 11:55AM

Can't flee from all battles. Enigma lets you both heal and replace fallen preps in battle.

Matrik April 14, 2013 12:10PM

Done it

daurwyn(VIP) April 14, 2013 12:15PM

I'd like sword/spear I think.

Matrik April 14, 2013 12:16PM

Why I liked whip and pole arm

daurwyn(VIP) April 14, 2013 08:02PM

Why I liked whip and pole arm

daurwyn(VIP) April 14, 2013 08:02PM

Right on. Not knocking it. Sounds cool. (n/t)

Matrik April 14, 2013 08:05PM

You would need reasonably higher dex race for spear, unless you are ONLY taking the spear for one skill - impale (n/t)

Noone of significance April 14, 2013 12:41PM

yeah i never decided on a race.

Matrik April 14, 2013 12:47PM

Pleaseth good Master to spit verse atop this trip-hop beat.

The Faithful of Nazmorghul April 14, 2013 04:46PM

I always wonderd how well a dwarf sword spec with ward of blades and whispers would do for exploring. Any thoughts? (n/t)

Frosty April 14, 2013 08:36AM

Not gates? (n/t)

wishore April 14, 2013 08:38AM

I would want different gear for exploring, gates I would take if I was going to be pk/cabal focused. (n/t)

Frosty April 14, 2013 09:06AM

Assuming wearing heavy armor but not focused on -ac pieces, how much damage reduction does gates provide? 10-15%? (n/t)

Noone of significance April 14, 2013 08:40AM

I'd argue gates is a crap legacy on pretty much all characters.

zannon April 15, 2013 04:09AM

Until you take healing into account.

daurwyn(VIP) April 16, 2013 08:09AM

they are good in different ways

Quas April 15, 2013 10:33AM

I agree with this statement, I've always considered soul a more effective investment on the vast majority of characters. (n/t)

vortexmagus April 15, 2013 10:19AM

I favour dam redux and dps over avoidance for explore (n/t)

wishore April 14, 2013 08:54AM

Except Old Mongoose, Old Mongoose was fucking bullshit (n/t)

wishore April 14, 2013 08:57AM

What second spec? Also, one problem I see is that you are barred from underwater areas (n/t)

Noone of significance April 14, 2013 08:38AM

Maybe go cloud then, and take pole for second spec.

Frosty April 14, 2013 09:35AM

Pretty sure you can go under on your own accord.

Java April 14, 2013 12:31PM

It kills your regen underwater, that's the problem with hydrophobia (n/t)
