It sucks and I hate this as it's a constant issue with me. Oh I gotta practice my skills, i gotta do this alone cause i'm an assassin, warrior, ranger cause for fucks sake, 300 hours isn't enough time to get 100% on dodge/parry/shieldblock and weapons. I think the biggest thing that fucks this game over right now, which is because of the numbers, is the lack of people wanting to group anymore. I understand you are a cloud giant warrior who is going sword spec, but do you need to sit there at lvl 15 for 40 hours perfecting EVERYTHING? I don't think the 95% in staff against a spear/staff user compared to someone who ranks at a bit faster pace who might say have it at 83% that much different because one flurry will tear that guy apart.
People get held up on mastering things and thinking that's going to give you the biggest advantage in the game but in a role playing game, does it make sense to grind your skill%? I think a good change to this game would make it that %'s only increase at certain ages that way, even if you rush to 51 or what not, you CAN'T have 100% skill till you reach say 150 hours. It eliminates the grinding that everybody has to do, and people will be more willing to participate with each other and grow, get stronger and explore together. Knowing that you can't get to 100% on everything in 20 hours with a dark-elf means that it is like living life, after 50 years of studying you will get better with your swords as you use them, not after just fighting a wights for 1-5 hours.
