No thanks. Reasons already given by others.
The RP reasons given by Amaranthe or RobDarken's desires to PK in Galadon? The great thing about RP, especially if you control the world and NPCs, is you can guide it however you want. I'm sure you and I could think of a dozen perfectly valid reasons for the Outlanders being okay with the Inn in Galadon. Changing a few room descriptions at the entrance to indicate going in the Inn is entering a natural setting away from the roads, buildings, and people of the rest of the city shouldn't be too hard. I think there are a few rooms behind the Inn that mention dwarf forest, and at least one that says eastern road. Not exactly a huge rewrite. As for RobDarken, if we had 200 people playing, Galadon would have Tribunals on guard almost all the time and a lot of gangbangs still, Inn or no Inn, Academy or no Academy. I think the potential positives outweigh the potential negatives.
But hey, maybe everyone wants their loner, secluded game. That's exactly what I'm trying to counter. I'd rather play with other people in CF areas that are more causal and chaotic than play alone in a perfect PK spot or a perfect RP spot. What's the point of having the Inn if it is empty? What's the point of trying to PK in Galadon if it is empty?

I like where you're going with this. Sounds like a good type of plan to "even the playing field," however changing some of these things without changing other things could potentially really fuck up what semblance of balance we have now. Just saying this type of thing would have to be done very, very carefully. Dwarves who favor long combat for maladiction, etc. would be KING baby. I'm for it. It's too bad it would require a momentous amount of effort on the part of coders (or so I think).
You're right it would need to be done carefully. I'm just whipping out numbers. Someone who has access to the code and how the game actually calculates things would be best positioned to sort out balanced numbers. I think I'd take a transmuter or invoker over the dwarf warrior. But it would be nice to see dwarfs get some love.
Oh yeah, would probably need to nerf train hps too. I'm also a fan of doubling sleeping regen. I peraonlly hate downtime.
X number of people start playing CF every year. Y number of people quit playing CF every year. We need to make X bigger, and/or make Y smaller. I think there has been a lot of improvements in the marketing efforts over the past few years with the great website, twitter, facebook, voting campaigns, etc. Now we just need to make the game a little bit more sticky for those that are coming.
