While it could be just a super low hitroll, I bet its more likely that the necromancer has a really low damroll combined with the decent -AC of the ram.

As a result, the damage is simply 'missing' them, and not registering any actual damage to the prepped up ram. Sort of like how if you strap on two hamsah seaport rings at lvl 4 then lots of lowbie mobs just 'miss' you. Gogo AC!

Slow board, Ram vs Necromancer

LogFiend 596 September 25, 2014 10:33AM

Why was there so much "misses"?

Matrik 311 September 25, 2014 10:52AM

Add to the theories below, I have read, that rams have a weapons resistance too. (n/t)

If damage is reduced to less than 1, it shows as barely scratches, not misses.

Intentionally getting hitroll negative to get around riposte type abilities might be useful in some situations.~

ibuki 278 September 25, 2014 04:34PM

Miss is calculated last, so they would parry/dodge just as much. (n/t)

i bet armor class is part of it but a lesser component to the hitroll difference. nt

The Forsaken 237 September 25, 2014 12:53PM

Wait, what do you mean by hitroll difference?

Matrik 277 September 25, 2014 12:54PM

Damroll?

Matrik 287 September 25, 2014 12:51PM

low hitroll vs high hitroll nt

The Forsaken 227 September 25, 2014 12:00PM

I've never seen someone past level 15 get so many misses is all.

Matrik 275 September 25, 2014 12:38PM

One of my orcs once died to lack of hitroll

daurwyn(VIP) 279 September 25, 2014 02:53PM

are those that bieve dam roll is more important than hit roll wrong? Honestly, I'd like to know. (n/t)

funnyone 209 September 25, 2014 12:06PM

I wouldn't worry about hit roll or dam roll on a necro. If your warrior keeps missing, by all means try a little more hit roll (n/t)
