I rarely had shield, but frequently had aura. Shaman were a consistent presence, so other preps did not stay on my affects list long.

I did prep heavily if facing groups and I knew they did not have a ready means to dispel them.

As for the allegations of selective logins, I played somewhere in the neighborhood of six hours a day. Way too much, and I'm sorry if it wasn't according to your timetable.
